Although I do enjoy a good amount of Canned Heat, I’m just not old enough. What I could call myself is frugal. I grew up with granola in the house but it was “Dad’s Cereal”. Which is, of course, why it was so elusive. We were told it was too expensive for us to burn through on a Saturday morning and we were much better off with the Fruit Loops within reach. Just kidding.  Booze is great, though. I really, really like pasta with vodka sauce.  In most cases it is very fattening.  Which is fine, but not good for everyday eatings.  So I decided to make my own. Ingredients! 6 oz. pasta (I used wheat pasta because that’s what I eat) salt 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil 1/4 cup chopped onion 2 minced garlic cloves a hearty shake of crushed red pepper flakes a few fresh basil leave 2008-05-15 12:28:01 PDT http://technorati.com/search/beforeitwaspoop.wordpress.com/2008/05/15/pasta-with-vodka-tomato-sauce/ 3 6 A new blog! http://picklescanrun.wordpress.com/2008/05/15/hello-world/ http://picklescanrun.wordpress.com/2008/05/15/hello-world/ Thu, 15 May 2008 12:12:40 -0700 Hi Friends. I’ve had a few blogs before, off and on, but never to document or discuss my running, health, or nutrition interests. However, I do a lot of running - and yoga and stuff - and I do a lot of work and research in health and wellness, so I wanted somewhere to talk about all of it, and meet other bloggers who did the same. I’m not sure what shape the blog will take yet. Musings and stories of good runs and bad runs, and new goals and challenges, will definitely be a part of it.
