Tonight his family said the super coach has passed away at 6.32pm in Sydney. He was 79 Gibson was best known as a five time premiership winning coach with a dry sense of humour and famous for his one liners. He coached Eastern Suburbs to the title in 1974 and 1975. In 75 his team thrashed the St George team 38-0.
