Lots of ups and downs and we planned it with drinks breaks at a couple of shops. Really enjoyable. She mentioned the GPS when we were out and she agreed to see what we could do today. I checked out geocaching.com and sent a few to the Garmin, played with the unit so I had more of a clue as it’s been a while since I used it and then checked out the site for the 3 caches in the village. Wie bei den Dosenfischern im Podcast zu hören war gab es auch schonmal ein Schnäpsle für den Erstfinder. Beim tauschen sollte man immer bedenken, dass auch Kinder scharf sind auf Tradinggegenstände sind. Da ist Alkohol nicht gerade besonderst passend. Świetna sprawa wymagająca wyjśćia z domu i posiadania GPS, względnie mapy google i dobrej pamięci oraz orientacji w terenie. Unterwegs fielen mir noch vorhandene Koordinaten auf dem Garmin ein und so haben wir noch den GC103CZ (Unterm Gleis bei K) Cache mitgemacht. We found a very old Pine tree and just had to get a shot. We had lots of fun out at FDR state park. We did some geocaching at Dowdell Knob and then hiked the Wolfden Loop. We stayed overnight at the Bumblebee Ridge Campsite….. It was supposed to rain but it never did…so we lucked out big time and were even able to have a campfire and s’mores. Started out a little rocky as my Garmin 60cs would not lock onto a satellite. No matter where I moved it wouldn't lock, eventually had to get back into the car and drive a little before getting a location. This is only my second cache I've hidden, my first is a fairly obvious one that is great for easy finds, first-timers and kids. This one I made a little tougher due mostly to the terrain.
