It was not quite what I had expected. The music was fairly mainstream, rather than out-there modern, but jazz has a history, and it’s made up of a rich tapestry of historical styles. These were some that I love, but don’t always indulge in. The host band for the event was the In Full Swing big band. It’s a community band based in Belconnen.
