DESCRIPTION;CHARSET=UTF-8:OKLAHOMA CITY – Remington Park’s historic 20th Anniversary Thoroughbred Season begins Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. The Opening Night kicks off a 67-date schedule that continues thru December 14 and will include a special Birthday Celebration on Labor Day. \n\n\n\n The ‘end of summer’ holiday is the actual 20th Birthday for Remington Park which brought world-class racing to Oklahoma City on Sept. 1\, 1988. On Labor Day Monday\, Sept. 1\, Remington Park will host a tremendous celebration including cash prizes\, games and activities for kids\, the introduction of the track’s new mascots and so much more. \n\n\n\n Before getting to the birthday celebration\, Remington Park will open the season on Thursday night with a lucky guest winning a unique Alaskan Cruise Vacation. \n\n\n\n A trio of stakes racing events will get the big-money racing schedule underway\, starting with the $50\,000 Ponca City Stakes on Friday night. Then on Saturday\, the first turf stakes of the season takes place with the Adena Springs Matchmaker Turf Sprint. On Sunday afternoon\, the Brother Brown Stakes will be held\, also over the turf. \n\n\n\n Saturday will also mark the return of Saturday Nite Cash\, giving guests more chances to win big money immediately after the live race card concludes. When the last winner has been recognized on Saturday\, proceed to the casino and take part in the drawings that begin at 11:15 p.m. for total prize money of $2\,500! \n\n\n\n Racing will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday\, Friday and Saturday with afternoon racing on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. \n\n\n\n Remington Park opens daily at 10 a.m. for simulcast racing and casino gaming. \n\n\n\n\n\n CRUISE NORTH TO ALASKA \n\n Remington Park continues to offer premium prizes for our guests who use their Lucky Circle Card when they play in the Casino or on Horse Racing.
