DESCRIPTION;CHARSET=UTF-8:In 2002\, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art inaugurated its new home at the Donald W. Reynolds Visual Arts Center with an exhibition of glass and drawings by Dale Chihuly. Bolstered by enormous public support\, the Museum purchased the entire exhibition\, which includes works from Chihuly’s best–known series and is anchored by the fifty-five-foot Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick Memorial Tower in the Museum’s atrium. Originally titled Dale Chihuly: An Inaugural Exhibition\, the purchase was completed in June of 2004 and renamed Dale Chihuly: The Exhibition. Today it is the most comprehensive collection of Chihuly glass in the world. The exhibition includes 1\,500 pieces of hand-blown glass\, 18 glass installations\, including walls\, ceiling\, cases\, and groupings. Installations feature Chihuly series such as Seaforms set with Lava Black Lip Wraps\, Jerusalem Cylinders\, Ikebana\, Putti with Birds\, Macchia Forest Tigerlilies\, Autumn Gold Persian Wall\, Red and Black Seal Pups\, Persian Seaform Ceiling\, Waterford Crystal Chandelier\, located in the theater lobby among others. \n\n $12 adults\, $10 seniors and students\, children five & under and museum members free. Groups of 15 or more\, $0 pp. Three week advance reservations are required for group tours. \n Tuesday-Saturday\, 10a-5p\; Thursday\, 10a-9p\; Sunday noon-5pm.
